Youth athlete health examination
HNRK is a contracted partner of the Health Insurance Fund for the implementation of the disease prevention project “Health check-up for young athletes to prevent sports-related health risks”.
Health check-ups usually take place once a month. They are conducted by Dr. Eve Unt.
The purpose of sports medical examinations is to protect the athlete’s health, ensure safe training, and, through counseling and preventive activities, reduce the risk of future health problems and injuries associated with sports.
The target group for sports medical examinations is young people up to and including 19 years old who train and compete regularly for at least six academic hours per week in addition to school physical education classes.
The scope and content of the health check-up depend on the young athlete’s weekly training load, health status, and the results of initial examinations.
Health check-ups for young athletes in the target group are funded by the Health Insurance Fund from the health insurance budget.
For adults, we offer health check-ups as a paid service.
Before coming for the health check-up, it is necessary to fill out a questionnaire describing your health status. Please bring the completed questionnaire to the appointment and give it to the doctor conducting the health check-up. The questionnaire can be downloaded for printing by clicking on the following links.
